Updated 2024 Mazda 3 Sedan And Hatch Now In PH, Starts At P1.510M

The 2024 Mazda 3 has now reached the Philippine market, with most of the updates focused on adding new or improved features across the range.

Mazda Philippines has been busy subtly updating its entire model range which began with the 2024 Mazda 2. This time, however, it’s the 2024 Mazda 3 that’s getting the spotlight with minor updates to keep this compact sedan and hatchback competitive amid newer competition.

Still sold in two variants called Sport and HEV in both sedan and hatchback, the 2024 Mazda 3 doesn’t actually get any aesthetic upgrades. Instead, it’s the features that you get that have been updated. Now standard across the two variants, including the base Sport are full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and adaptive front lighting system. The HEV variant gets the added bonus of automatic high beams.

18-inch wheels are also standard on all models, but the color varies depending on the variant. The Sport models are finished in Bright Silver for the sedan and Black Metallic for the hatch, while in the HEV models, the sedan comes with Silver Metallic wheels then the hatch comes with Gray Metallic wheels.

As for the interior, black leather seats with 8-way power adjustment and two-person memory for the driver come as standard, along with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a 7-inch partly-digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and dual-zone climate control. What’s new for the 2024 update is a bigger 10.25-inch screen that replaces the 8.8-inch screen of the Mazda Connect infotainment. This also comes with new wireless Apple CarPlay (though Android Auto is still wired), along with wireless charging on all models.

Powertrain options for the 2024 Mazda 3 remain unchanged. The Sport models come with a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline gasoline engine that produces 154 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. The HEV models, on the other hand, aren’t actually full hybrids but are 24-volt mild hybrids, and use the 2.0-liter e-Skyactiv-G drivetrain that has a system output of 164 horsepower and 213 Nm of torque. Both powertrains drive the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic.

There has also been an update in terms of its i-Activsense suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Blind spot warning is standard on both models, while the HEV gets adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, front cross traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera.

The 2024 Mazda 3 is now on sale across all dealers, and as with every Mazda, a five-year free maintenance program comes as standard. Here are the prices of each new Mazda 3 variant, with both body styles priced equally:

  • Mazda 3 Sport: P1,510,000
  • Mazda 3 Sport: P1,790,000
