The new and improved 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has officially been launched in the Philippines as the brand celebrates its 75th birthday.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has just been launched in the Philippines, adding a dose of electrification to the facelifted Cayenne range. The Cayenne E-Hybrid was launched just in time for Porsche’s 75th brand anniversary and three months after the standard Cayenne made a splash at the brand’s 27th anniversary in the Philippines. Talk about having two birthdays in one year.

But more than just a vehicle that marks a milestone, the Cayenne E-Hybrid bridges the gap between those who want a performance SUV with an internal combustion engine (ICE) and the benefit of having an electric motor, such as instant torque, zero-emissions driving, as well as a quiet drive.

This combination of traits is thanks to a 3.0-liter turbo V6 and an electric motor that’s integrated into the eight-speed automatic. The system has a combined 470 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This is enough for a 0-100 kph time of just 4.9 seconds and a 254 kph top speed. Thanks to the 33.9 kWh battery, it has a WLTP-rated range of up to 74 kilometers and the vehicle can accept up to 11 kW of AC charging.

Apart from its electrified drivetrain, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid also benefits from the numerous chassis upgrades that were implemented for this model year. This includes the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), in which the new two-valve adaptive shocks feature separate rebound and compression stages, resulting in better handling and ride in all conditions. An air suspension is also available as an option.

As for the design, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid likewise receives exterior enhancements that were implemented for this model year. Despite the subtle changes, almost every body panel is new for both the standard Cayenne and the coupe version. What’s easily noticeable are the new, reshaped LED headlights, which now feature adaptive matrix technology as standard equipment. Each headlight contains 32,000 micro-LEDs that can be individually controlled to maintain a constant high beam even when turning and without blinding oncoming traffic. Other noticeable changes include a reshaped, more angular front bumper, new full-width LED taillights, and reshaped fenders that give the Cayenne a wider stance.

Move inside, however, and the aesthetic changes are much more pronounced. Drawing inspiration from the Taycan electric sports sedan, the Cayenne adopts the same frameless 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and steering wheel design. The electronic gear shifter has also been replaced by a small toggle near the instrument panel. As a result, the center console has been cleaned up, opening up more storage space as well as fewer buttons. The main tech highlights of the redesign are its two screens–a main 12.3-inch Porsche Communication Management infotainment screen and an optional Taycan-inspired 10.9-inch passenger-side screen with a film coating that blocks the screen from the driver’s view.
