LOOK: This Is The Facelifted 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross just made its debut in Thailand, bringing with it updated looks and more tech features.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has just received a mid-cycle facelift. The highly-popular crossover version of the Corolla made its global debut in Thailand, adding a dose of style and several new tech features that will most likely be offered in the Philippines very soon.

The headline change, of course, is its exterior and interior styling. Beginning with the outside, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross gains a revised front end with a frameless grille design. There are also new LED headlights with sequential LED turn signals and a restyled front bumper to match. A new set of 18-inch alloy wheels is also equipped on higher trims of the hybrid variant.

Finally, in line with Toyota’s “Beyond Zero” branding for its carbon neutrality goals, the “hybrid” badge is gone, in favor of the same HEV logo found in the Yaris Cross and the new Alphard. The looks of the Corolla Cross GR-S, remain unchanged, however, except for the new LED headlights.

As for the interior, the overall design has remained largely unchanged. What’s new for 2024, however, is a 10.1-inch infotainment system on higher variants, while a 7-inch digital gauge cluster is now offered across all variants. There’s also a new panoramic sunroof and a hands-free powered tailgate. As a result, opting for the higher trims will now give you a bigger 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Finally (at least in Thailand), the foot-operated parking brake has been ditched in favor of an electronic parking brake.

Engines, however, remain unchanged for the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross. What you still get is either a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that’s good for 140 horsepower and 177 Nm of torque or a 1.8-liter fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System that still produces a total system output of 120 horsepower. Both are front-wheel drive (FWD) and come with a CVT (e-CVT for the hybrid).

With the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross already on sale in Thailand, there’s a possibility that this new model will make its debut sometime this year in the Philippine market.
