The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has finally arrived in the Philippines. A hybrid version will follow in the second half of 2024.

After being previewed during the South Korean automaker’s media thanksgiving party last December, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has finally arrived in the Philippines. Now that you know most of the basic information about the vehicle, most especially its striking, boxy looks, let’s talk about pricing and specs.

Three variants of the new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will be sold: 2.5 GLS 2WD, 2.5 GLS 4WD, and the range-topping 2.5 Turbo Calligraphy AWD (as shown). Starting with the two GLS variants, the only thing that separates the two is whether you want the all-wheel drive (AWD) system or not. Otherwise, they all get the same front end with the H-shaped LED daytime running lights, multi-reflector-type LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, and H-shaped LED taillights. Where the Calligraphy stands out is with its larger 21-inch wheels and the C-pillar mounted assist handle for reaching items located at the roof rack.

As for the interior, all variants get a premium interior with top-notch materials and a generous serving of features. In fact, there isn’t much that separates the three variants as all models get the dual 12.3-inch screens housed in a curved glass piece, a new operating system for the infotainment called connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, a dual-tiered glove box, a powered tailgate, a single wireless charging pad, dual sunroofs, and LED ambient lighting, just to name a few. The range-topping Calligraphy, on the other hand, benefits from Nappa Leather upholstery, dual wireless charging pads, front relaxation seats with a footrest, a head-up display, and a UV-C tray in the upper glovebox.

When it comes to engines, the GLS variants get a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 194 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque, and this is mated to an eight-speed automatic with AWD or front-wheel drive configuration. The range-topping Calligraphy gets a turbocharged version of this engine that now produces 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. This is sent to an AWD system and is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.

In the second half of 2024, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) will also bring in the hybrid variant. Oh, and this generation of the Santa Fe doesn’t come with a diesel engine option globally, so don’t expect one to arrive in the Philippines anytime soon.

Lastly, all variants of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will come with the full suite of Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which includes Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor (360-degree camera), and Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, just to name a few.
