2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato: Why This Supercar Makes Sense In PH

The 2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is now in the Philippines, and here's why this supercar-turned-crossover is perfect for the country.

The 2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato officially made its Philippine debut a week ago through PGA Cars. The supercar-turned-crossover that’s on display also happens to be the first customer unit in the Philippines, and here’s why this raised supercar happens to be one that’s perfectly suited for Philippine use.

First and foremost, the Huracan Sterrato stands out due to what you already see at face value–the ground clearance. Lamborghini quotes that the Sterrato’s ground clearance is 44 mm higher than in the Huracan Evo, though unofficial figures circulating the internet states that the Sterrato is 171 mm off the ground. Therefore, there’s less need worry about scraping that front end with its long front overhangs when going over steep parking ramps.

The raised ground clearance also gives it longer suspension travel, which also improves ride when going over Manila’s worst roads–including the C5 truck lane.  The brakes have also been upgraded, measuring 380 mm in diameter at the front with 38 mm thickness, while those at the rear measure 356 mm in diameter and 32 mm in thickness. Surrounding those brakes are 19 inch wheels that are wrapped in Bridgestone Dueler all-terrain tires specific for the Huracan Sterrato. These tires come with run-flat technology that enables it to drive at up to 80 kph, even with the air pressure completely gone.

Apart from the raised ground clearance, the Huracan Sterrato also has more off-road protection than even most crossover SUVs that tend to be extremely road-biased. There’s numerous underbody protection for all that off-roading and dune bashing you’ll be presumably doing (though let’s be honest, this will mostly roam Manila’s streets and highways). The front and rear tracks are also 30 mm and 34 mm wider, respectively, as evidenced by the black fender flares and black rocker panels. Finally, there are LED foglights mounted just aft of the hood.

Moving inside, the Huracan Sterrato’s interior is upholstered in Alcantara suede material that’s finished in a shade of Verde Sterrato. Like the standard Huracan, there are two screens–one for the digital gauges and the other being the main infotainment system, in which the vehicle’s digital features can be accessed remotely via the Lamborghini UNICA app. Apple Watch users can even synchronize their heart rate to the app, which, alongside the Lamborghini Drive Recorder, records your driving experience as well as how you feel behind the wheel.

Powering the 2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is the same 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V10 that’s fitted to all other Huracans out there, though in the Sterrato’s case, it produces 610 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. However, because of all these upgrades that improve its off-road capability, the Sterrato has an electronically limited top speed of 260 kph, while its 0-100 kph time of 3.4 seconds is faster than the rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the Huracan Evo Spider. Oh, and if you’re wondering, the Sterrato is all-wheel drive (AWD).

Finally, the 2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato can be personalized through the Ad Personam program, which lets you choose from 350 exterior colors and 60 interior colors, giving prospective customers of the Huracan Sterrato near-infinite ways to make the Huracan Sterrato truly their own. You can visit the Lamborghini Manila showroom in Bonifacio Global City for more information about the Huracan Sterrato, including pricing.
