Here’s The Facelifted 2025 Ford Territory Before You’re Supposed To See It

The second-generation Ford Territory isn’t by any means an old car, having only been in the Philippine market for about a year now and two years in the global market. However, based on what we’ve witnessed, things are much more different in China. That’s because, in their market, there’s already a 2025 Ford Territory that’s about to debut.

In typical Chinese market practice, automakers are required to submit photos to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) before a vehicle is launched into the market. That’s why it’s common for an upcoming model that will be sold in China to be leaked ahead of launch. Anyway, based on these photos, the facelift for the 2025 Ford Territory is quite comprehensive, giving this compact crossover SUV a new front end. The LED headlights and daytime running lights are now one single unit, whle an LED light bar connects the two lighting units. There’s also a new grille with a black housing and a pixelated design, while the fron bumper is also new.

Moving towards the side, the overall shape is similar to the current model, but just like the Territory Sport that recently debuted, the model in these photos also has a black contrasting roof. There’s also a new set of gloss black wheels, while the rear end of the new Territory remains unchanged. There is also a photo set that showcases the other minute differences of the new Territory from the pre-facelifted model if you want to see all the nuances that have been changed in the new Territory.

As for the interior, that’s still unknown at this point, but based on the MIIT documents, what we do know are the engine choices. The 2025 Ford Territory will still get the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost gasoline engine that produces 168 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque, which drives the front wheels via a seven-speed wet dual-clutch automatic.

But perhaps the biggest surprise is there will now be a plug-in hybrid version of the Territory, which, together a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, will have a system output of 215 horsepower. Its pure electric range is still unknown at the moment, along with the kind of transmission it will utilize.

With the facelifted 2025 Ford Territory now inevitably shown in government documents, will you wait for this model instead, or will you still push through with your purchase of the current Territory? It must be noted, however, that it will probably be more than a year before this new Territory finally arrives in our market.
