ACMobility, the official distributor of BYD cars in the Philippines, introduces its latest electric vehicle model, the 2025 BYD Sealion 6 DM-i. Powered by BYD’s Super DM-i plug-in hybrid drivetrain, this electrified crossover SUV addresses range anxiety concerns by using an efficient gasoline engine with a large battery.
Priced at just P1,548,000, this plug-in hybrid crossover SUV combines an electric motor paired with an 18.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery that sends power to the front wheels via an e-CVT. This electric motor produces 197 hp and 325 Nm and can travel up to 105 kilometers in full EV mode. When the 1.5-liter gasoline engine decides to kick in, total power increases to 217 hp while retaining the same torque figures.
Its electrified powertrain accelerates the SUV forward from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. Furthermore, its Extended-Range mode, the Sealion 6 DM-i’s total driving distance increases to over 1,000 kilometers, maximizing the EV’s capabilities.

Now, as for its styling, the 2025 BYD Sealion 6 DM-i impresses with its robust and stylish exterior. It’s marginally bigger than competitors like the Honda CR-V e:HEV or Toyota RAV4 Hybrid at 4,775 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, but its price point is even lower than a Corolla Cross 1.8 V Hybrid. BYD’s new Ocean X Face design gives the Sealion 6 DM-i a streamlined appearance. Its wide front grille and sleek LED headlamps with built-in crystal texture light belts give it a distinctive look. The premium aesthetic continues to the rear and the sides with the addition of 19-inch alloy wheels and a distinctive rear end thanks to its full-width tail lights and sequential turn signals. The Sealion 6 DM-i also has class-leading features such as a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, and a roof rack.
Like its stylish exterior, the 2025 BYD Sealion 6 DM-i also showcases a refined interior that perfectly balances comfort and practicality. It offers leather seats with an 8-way driver and 4-way passenger power adjustability. Both front seats come with heating and ventilating functions, too. The electric SUV has acoustic window panels at the front as standard to isolate any road noise from entering the cabin and rear privacy glass to enhance comfort and security.
More cutting-edge features come in the form of a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, along with a signature rotating infotainment touchscreen that BYDs have been known for. The main infotainment screen measures 15.6-inch, and it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Oh, and it has a 10-speaker Infinity premium sound system, too. Finally, BYD DiLink is also equipped in the Sealion 6. This enables voice assistant features, 4G connectivity, and the ability to receive software updates over the air. The BYD App also gives owners more information and remote control over their vehicle through their mobile phones.
