Honda Cars PH Reveals 2025 Civic Hybrid Prices, Starts At P1.990M

Prices for the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid have already been announced alongside the availability of the non-hybrid Civic as well.

About a month ago, the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid was previewed to the media, but it wasn’t until today at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show that the Japanese automaker revealed the full specs of the Civic Hybrid. Not only that, but they also officially announced the features and prices of the non-hybrid versions as well.

Enhanced Exterior And Tech

As a recap, the 2025 Honda Civic receives a mid-cycle facelift, receiving a new, sportier front bumper with a new mesh grille, as well as a more angular lower air intake. The side profile remains largely unchanged, but there are new 18-inch alloy wheel designs for the RS variant. Finally, the rear end gets a slightly redesigned rear bumper, while the RS gets a rear spoiler to enhance its sporty looks. The V Turbo also receives similar exterior enhancements, but the wheel design is still the same as the pre-facelift model.

Now, for the interior, most of the changes are concentrated on the RS variants. These variants continue to feature a 10.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, but the 9-inch infotaiment now has Google Built-In. This basically means that the operating system is connected to Google services, thus offering native support of Google Maps, Google Assistant, and even apps from the Play Store. Topping it all off is a Bose sound system.

The RS variants also get exclusive red interior trimmings, leather and suede upholstery, and power-adjustment for the driver. The base V Turbo, however, continues to have a 7-inch infotainment and a 7-inch partly-digital instrument cluster, fabric seats, and a urethane steering wheel.

Turbo As Standard, Hybrid As The Pinnacle

Of course, the main highlight in the facelift is the available hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 2.0-liter i-VTEC naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine along with two electric motors, the other motor for generator use. Right off the bat, the Civic Hybrid already has a bigger engine than the Corolla Altis Hybrid, and as you’ve probably expected, the Civic Hybrid is indeed powerful as it puts out 181 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.

This gives the Civic Hybrid a 60-horsepower advantage over the Corolla Altis Hybrid, and it even outmuscles the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo variant, which produces 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The Civic Hybrid uses an e-CVT, while the Civic Turbo retains its traditional CVT.

Finally, like in the pre-facelift Civic, the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver-assistance systems are offered as standard. Thus, the 2025 Honda Civic comes with full-speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Automatic High Beams, and the LaneWatch blind spot camera system.

A Special Edition Type R

Apart from the 2025 Honda Civic range, Honda Cars Philippines also revealed a special edition FL5 Civic Type R that’s been souped up by the team from Mugen, Honda’s tuning arm. Say hello to the limited edition 2025 Honda Civic Type R Group A, wherein only five units will be sold,.

The Civic Type R Group A was first revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this year, and it makes the FL5 Civic Type R look a lot meaner. Some Civic Type R fans find the current FL5 to be a bit too tame, but personally, we prefer this direction from Honda. However, if you still want to add a bit more aggression to the Type R, this special edition model enables you to do just that.

Functional beauty is the theme of these upgrades, which is why the gloss black bodykit doesn’t just enhance its looks, but it also improves the car’s aerodynamics. Together with the new, larger rear wing, the Civic Type R Group A adds 25 percent more downforce. Further aiding its handling prowess are the new performance dampers developed together with Yamaha, which complement the lighter rotational mass enabled by the 19-inch forged alloy wheels developed in conjunction with BBS.

As for the drivetrain, this special edition Civic Type R remains the same as the stock version. Therefore, its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder VTEC Turbo engine that’s mated to a six-speed manual still produces 320 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. There’s still a mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD), and unique to this special edition model, a sports exhaust that enhances its sound.

Pricing for the special edition Civic Type R is at P4,500,000 due to its exclusivity. Howerver, if that’s too expensive for you, here are the prices for the rest of the 2025 Honda Civic range in the Philippines:

  • RS e:HEV: P1,990,000
  • RS Turbo: P1,790,000
  • V Turbo: P1,600,000
