The 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid is finally on sale in the Philippines just a few months after it was previewed at the recent Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) and about a year after making its global debut. The popular midsize executive sedan is now available in Philippine dealerships, and here’s what you need to know about it.
Just like in North America, where the new Camry was first unveiled, there is no non-hybrid option available. Likewise, just like in the previous generation, the 2025 Toyota Camry is only available in a single fully loaded 2.5 V variant. Prices start at P2,651,000, but that’s when you opt for the Attitude Black Mica. Precious Metal and Platinum White Pearl Mica command a P20,000 premium, and these three are the only available colors for the Camry.

Regardless of which color you choose, the 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid will elicit a strong sense of déjà vu. Though most of the exterior panels are new to the Camry, the A-pillar looks like a carryover from the outgoing model. Up front, the new 2025 Camry adopts the “Hammerhead” front fascia that first debuted in the new Prius. This has become Toyota’s signature design as of late, and it’s by C-shaped LED daytime running lights. Wider LED taillights, a more sloped roofline, and a new “Beyond Zero” horizon-style badge that made its local debut in the Yaris Cross complete the Camry’s transformation.
That sense of déjà vu is due to its carryover TNGA-K platform from the outgoing model. As with its exterior design, the platform didn’t carry over unchanged, as the new Camry’s TNGA-K platform has been heavily re-engineered to improve its noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) suppression, as well as offering a more dynamic and precise handling.
This is likewise the case with its 2.5-liter Toyota Hybrid System. Though a lot of mechanicals are carried over, this is now actually the fifth-generation system, which thanks to a more powerful electric motor, gives it a power output of 227 horsepower. That’s an improvement of 19 horses over the outgoing model. As before, the 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid gets an e-CVT powering the front wheels.

Moving inside, the transformation of the Camry is much more prominent. There’s a new, thicker, and heavily sculpted dash which consists of a canopy effect that visually separates the driver from the front passenger. Material quality has also been improved from the previous model, with a greater use of soft-touch materials and leather upholstery on the lower sections of the dash.

Two 12.3-inch screens for both the gauges and the infotainment screen come as standard, and so is a 9-speaker JBL sound system. New for this generation is the addition of ventilated (cooled) seats, which is very useful in our hot climate. Finally, just like before, those seated at the back benefit from power-adjustable and reclining rear seats, powered sunshades, and two USB-C charging ports.
As for safety, the 2025 Toyota Camry comes with the usual plethora of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, just to name a few. This comes on top of the 360-degree camera system, and the usual plethora of airbags.
