Even after coming fresh off the holiday season, Toyota Motor Philippines is keeping itself busy as they silently launched the 2025 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid GR-S. This serves as yet another facelift for the popular electrified sedan while a new generation model is yet to arrive in the coming years.
The 2025 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid GR-S first appeared in Thailand, and it’s only this model that receives a facelift. What sets this new Corolla Altis from the pre-facelift model is its restyled front bumper, which now contains squared-off vents that mimic the GR Corolla and GR Yaris. There’s also a set of slightly redesigned 17-inch wheels, smoked clear lens LED taillights, and a new rear spoiler. Finally, the new Corolla Altis Hybrid also adopts the “Beyond Zero” HEV badging that debuted in the Yaris Cross, another indicator that this is the updated Corolla Altis Hybrid.
As for the interior, the 2025 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid GR-S comes with suede and leather upholstery for the seats, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 9-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat, to name a few. The 1.8-liter hybrid system that produces 121 horsepower is also largely carried over, but it now gets a lithium-ion battery pack replacing the previous nickel-metal-hydride. This has not resulted in a power bump, but like past GR-S models, this sedan gets a unique tuning for its suspension for improved handling.
