BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has finally launched the much-anticipated eMAX 7 at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show. Blending both affordability, cutting-edge tech, and an efficient electric drivetrain, the 2025 BYD eMax7 is set to be another disruptor from the brand’s growing electrified vehicle (EV) portfolio.
Accessible Cutting-Edge EV Drive

That’s because with a price tag of P1,498,000 to P1,748,000, it’s priced right in line or in some cases, even less than your gas-powered traditional MPV rivals. Therefore, the switch to an EV comes with no financial barriers at this point. Now, you’re probably wondering if there’s any catch since the eMax 7 sounds too good to be true, but as with every technologically advanced BYD we’ve driven, there’s absolutely no catch here.
Two variants of the 2025 BYD eMax 7 are available for you to choose from: Standard and Superior Captain. Both versions come with a front-mounted electric motor, along with BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 EV architecture. Coupled with BYD’s legendary Blade Battery with a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) chemistry, you get both unparalleled efficiency and safety.
In the Standard variant, the front electric motor produces 160 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, while in the Superior Captain, the power is bumped up to 201 horsepower. This enables the Superior Captain variant to sprint from 0-100 kph in just 8.6 seconds. This is also enduring performance because the Standard model’s 55.4 kWh battery is good for 420 kilometers of NEDC-rated range, while the Superior Captain’s 71.8 kWh battery is good for up to 530 kilometers of NEDC-rated range.
Charged As You Charge Up

As for charging, the 2025 BYD eMax7 comes with a free portable charger and a free 7 kW AC home charger. Charging speeds also top out at 7 kW in AC for both variants, with DC fast charging speeds for the Standard being rated at 89 kW, and 115 kW for the Superior Captain. This enables both variants of the BYD eMax 7 to charge from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
ACMobility is also proud to highlight its ever-growing charging network both within and outside Metro Manila. Combine that with the unparalleled range of BYD’s growing EV family, range anxiety is a thing of the past. However, when the time still comes that you need an emergency top-up, ACMobility’s Power On Wheels (POW) is there to give you peace of mind.
A Representation Of Your Modern Life

It’s clear that the fully-electric 2025 BYD eMax 7 is at the forefront of technological advancement in the MPV segment, and what better way to showcase that than through its cutting-edge design? Whichever of the two variants you choose, the eMax 7 has a sleek, contemporary design that’s expressed through its Dragon Face front fascia, that is complemented by full LED headlights. The curvaceous shape gives the eMax 7 a futuristic silhouette, while the 17-inch two-tone wheels make a statement. Lastly, sleek full-width LED taillights and a generous serving of satin silver finishes accentuate the modern presence of the eMax 7.

BYD has made a name for itself when it comes to futuristic and high-tech interiors, and the eMax 7 is no exception. Whichever variant you choose, you get premium touches like leather upholstery, a massive 12.8-inch touchscreen that, in typical BYD fashion, is able to rotate, whilst also offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Superior Captain, however, as the name suggests, gets a pair of luxuriously appointed second-row captain’s chairs, a panoramic glass roof, a powered tailgate, ambient LED lighting, and a powered tailgate.
An MPV That Looks Out For You
Finally, the 2025 BYD eMax 7 is also there to take care of you while you’re on the road. You get the usual plethora of airbags, a traction control system, electronic stability control, and even a 360-degree camera as standard. The Superior Captain further augments this with a suite of DiPilot advanced driver-assistance systems, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Rear Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist.
BYD Electrifies MIAS

All of these technological advancements at affordable prices, have led BYD to quickly rise as the world’s biggest EV manufacturer. Key to BYD’s success is its ability to create a whole range of affordable EVs, ranging from city hatchbacks such as the Seagull and Dolphin, crossover SUVs in various segments such as the Atto 3 and Tang, and even thrilling luxury and sports sedans like the Seal and Han.
And if you’re not yet ready to go the pure EV route, BYD also has electrified options that are augmented by a gas engine, such as the Seal 5 DM-i and Sealion 6 DM-i. Oh, and there’s even a rugged pickup called the Shark 6 DMO as well.
