2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 Three-Row EV Now In PH, Priced From P4.580M

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 has landed in the Philippines, priced at more than P1.5 million less than its main competitor.

Hyundai Motor Philippines caught everyone by surprise with its additional two launches on top of the new Palisade. That’s because we also witnessed the local launch of the new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9, the South Korean automaker’s entry into the three-row full-size electric crossover SUV segment.

Making its global debut late last year, the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 rides on the award-winning Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that Hyundai Motor Group specifically designed for electric vehicle (EV) use. As a result, the ground-up EV architecture enables Hyundai’s designers to create an SUV that looks distinct and breaks styling conventions.

Aerodynamic, Minimalist Styling

Similar to the Ioniq 6, the Ioniq 9 inherits some of its “streamliner” styling, marked by a rounded, curvaceous silhouette for optimum aerodynamics. Greeting you front and center is its distinct Parametric Pixel lighting elements for its full-width LED daytime running lights. Adding to the design cohesion are its pixels for the main LED headlight beams, which are visually connected through a single pixelated panel that also houses the sensors.

At the sides, the Ioniq 9’s silhouette is accentuated by clean lines and distinct multi-spoke 21-inch wheels. Flush door handles are the order of the day, adding to the car’s slippery drag coefficient of just 0.259 Cd, one of the most aerodynamic large SUVs on sale today. This is helped by the fact that it comes with digital wing mirrors for the Philippine market. Finally, as we move towards the rear end, the Ioniq 9 comes with pixelated vertical LED taillights and a cleanly designed tailgate.

Like the EVs that are underpinned by the E-GMP platform, Hyundai has taken advantage of the EV-centric platform to reinvent the Ioniq 9’s interior space. As expected, being Hyundai’s flagship, the interior is made out of leather and satin silver trims, and this is blended with eco-friendly textiles on the doors, dash, and seats. As expected, the dual 12.3-inch screens running the latest connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) are standard in the Ioniq 9, and in this case, come mated to a 14-speaker Bose sound system. Hyundai has also taken advantage of its EV architecture to carve out a lounge-like interior layout, which is accentuated by large spans of LED ambient lighting.

Being the Calligraphy variant, power-adjustable captain’s chairs are standard, along with heating and cooling. The front seats also adopt similar features, but with the added benefit of a massage function. Other premium features include a windshield-projected head-up display, two large sunroofs, and of course, the full suite of Hyundai SmartSense suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist 2, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, just to name a few.

Dual-Motor AWD And 600 KM Range

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 on sale in the Philippines is the range-topping Calligraphy variant, which means you get a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) layout that produces 308 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque, which is good enough for a 6.7-second 0-100 kph time. Thanks to a large 110.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Ioniq 9 has a WLTP-rated range of 600 kilometers.

Being an EV riding on the E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 9 takes advantage of its 800-volt architecture. As a result, the Ioniq 9 can accept up to 350 kW of DC fast charging, which is good for a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 24 minutes. AC charging, on the other hand, tops out at an impressive 22 kW.

Hyundai has also fitted the Ioniq 9 with vehicle-to-load (V2L) that allows the vehicle to become an external power source. Additionally, the six USB-C charge ports scattered inside the vehicle are powered not by its auxiliary 12-volt battery, but by the main 110.3 kWh battery itself. This enables these charge ports to offer 100 watts, which are powerful enough to charge a MacBook through the USB-C ports.

Priced at P4,580,000, the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 has surprisingly great pricing for the segment. For perspective, the Kia EV9, the Ioniq 9’s equivalent, is priced at P5,938,000, giving it more than a P1 million price advantage, whilst also having more range thanks to the Ioniq 9’s larger battery. Speaking of which, the battery has an eight-year/160,000-kilometer warranty, while the vehicle itself has a five-year/200,000-kilometer warranty.
