Kia Philippines introduces the new Kia Sonet K-Style Edition. As Kia’s best-selling model in the Philippine market, the K-Style Edition adds more value and style to the range-topping SX on which it is based.
“The Kia Sonet K-Style celebrates the vibrant energy of today’s new generation of drivers,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “It’s designed for those who want their first car to reflect their individuality, expressive, confident, and ready for new adventures, while embodying Kia’s understanding of what young drivers value most.”
The Kia Sonet K-Style Edition can only be availed in two color choices: Sparkling Silver and Aurora Black. Each color features contrasting 16-inch alloy wheels, with black wheels for silver units and silver wheels for black models. This is complemented by minimalist body graphics with the K-Style Edition logo on the car’s D-pillars.
Since this is based on the range-topping SX, the interior of the Sonet K-Style Edition features two 10.25-inch displays, one for the digital gauges and the other performing infotainment duties. It comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. Finally, there’s also a sunroof and brown leatherette upholstery that adds to that premium feel.
Unsurprisingly, the engine and transmission choice remains unchanged. It’s a 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque, sending power to the front wheels via a CVT marketed by Kia as their Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).
Finally, the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition comes with the DriveWise suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, namely Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. This is on top of a reverse camera and cruise control.
Limited to 150 units, the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition is priced at P1,158,000.
