LOOK: The 5 New Cars That Toyota Motor PH Will Bring This Year

Toyota Motor Philippines is launching five new cars in 2025, and here's a breakdown of what these models are.

Toyota Motor Philippines just came out of 2025 resilient and performing well. It maintains its dominance in the Philippine market with a 46 percent market share, and its sales of 229,447 units (which includes Lexus) represent a 5.3 percent growth from 2024. Three new cars were launched last year: the new Ativ, the updated bZ4X, and the new GR Corolla. To continue its growth this year, the Japanese automaker is launching five new models this year.

What are these five new models? Well, that’s already an open secret, as Toyota Motor Philippines themselves have revealed these five new cars, so if you’re in the market for a new car this year, you may want to consider what the brand has in store first.

1. Urban Cruiser EV

Toyota Motor Philippines is launching five new cars in 2025, and here's a breakdown of what these models are.

After launching the bZ4X, its first electric vehicle (EV) last year, Toyota Motor Philippines will now expand its EV portfolio with the Urban Cruiser EV. Jointly developed with the Suzuki e Vitara, the Urban Cruiser carries similar styling, but with a design that’s been adapted to Toyota’s portfolio. This includes the Hammerhead design with its C-shaped LED headlights, along with a sleek side profile that’s complemented by a black contrasting roof.

Though Philippine specs for all five new vehicles have not yet been revealed, the Urban Cruiser EV is now being sold in Europe in two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery sizes: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 49 kWh version is front-wheel drive (FWD) only, and offers 144 horsepower and a WLTP-rated range of 344 kilometers. The 61 kWh battery, meanwhile, is offered in both FWD and all-wheel drive (AWD), with the former offering slightly more oomph at 174 horsepower, while it’s also the longest range version with 426 kilometers of WLTP-rated range. The AWD version is the most powerful, offering 184 horsepower, while its WLTP-rated range is 395 kilometers.

2. RAV4 Hybrid

2026 Toyota RAV4 Debuts With Up To 320 HP Of Hybrid Power

Of course, with the new generation RAV4 already being revealed in the middle of last year, you can pretty much guarantee that Toyota Motor Philippines will bring in the latest generation of one of its core models. The new RAV4 has been comprehensively redesigned. Though the TNGA-K platform is carried over, it receives comprehensive reengineering for improved driving feel, along with a fresh new design inside and out. It’s also the first Toyota to utilize the Arene OS for its vehicle software, which is the brand’s step towards software-defined vehicles (SDV).

Now, as for the powertrain, the new RAV4 is offered solely as a hybrid worldwide, and that will likewise be the case for the Philippines. The RAV4 is using the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS V), which consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor that gives a system output of 226 horsepower when opting for FWD or 236 horsepower for the AWD version.

3. Land Cruiser Hybrid

2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid Is Both Electrified And Powerful

The Toyota Land Cruiser got electrified in the middle of 2025, and so as one of the largest market for the popular full-size SUV, it was inevitable that it would one day arrive in the Philippines. The Land Cruiser Hybrid shares the same powertrain as the Lexus LX 700h, which is basically a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor mounted together with the 10-speed automatic. This setup makes the Land Cruiser a parallel hybrid system. Combined, the system produces 457 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque. What it also inherits from the Lexus LX is its ability to still run in the event that the electrical components of the hybrid system get damaged.

4. Toyota Land Cruiser FJ

2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Is The Land Cruiser For The Masses

Unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is an entry into the small off-roader SUV segment. Measuring 4,575 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,960 mm tall, with a wheelbase that measures 2,580 mm, it is incrementally larger than a Corolla Cross, but it has a slightly shorter wheelbase and a much taller height.

The 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is riding on the IMV platform that’s shared with the Hilux and Fortuner. Therefore, it is also using a familiar engine that’s already compatible with this body-on-frame chassis—a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE four-cylinder that produces 161 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque. This drives all four wheels via a six-speed automatic.

The IMV platform wasn’t just shortened, but it also got stronger and more rigid through additional chassis bracing. Together with the short 2,580 mm wheelbase allowing for excellent breakover angles, along with short front and rear overhangs for excellent approach and departure angles, the Land Cruiser FJ has the off-road maneuverability that’s fit for a Land Cruiser model.

5. Hilux

2026 Toyota Hilux Unveiled With First-Ever Electric Version

Finally, as the outright best-selling pickup in the Philippines, the new generation Toyota Hilux couldn’t come soon enough. Though it gets a comprehensive redesign, the IMV platform is carried over, albeit with heavy reengineering for both improved refinement and off-road capability.

Toyota Motor Philippines has not yet revealed the specs of the Hilux, but globally, this pickup now offers a diverse range of powertrains. There’s the familiar 2.8-liter turbo diesel in both standard and 48-volt mild hybrid versions, which both produce 204 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. A familiar 2.7-liter gasoline engine will be sold for markets outside Southeast Asia, so we won’t be betting on its arrival here.

What is also unknown at the moment is the first-ever electric version. With dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, the electric Hilux produces 193 horsepower—an output that’s clearly optimized for efficiency and pulling power. With a 59.2 kWh battery, it has a WLTP-rated range of 240 kilometers. Though the range isn’t that impressive, Toyota compensates for this with “class-leading” charging times.

Toyota Motor Philippines has not given a timetable on when these new models will arrive, but if you’re in the market for any vehicle that these vehicles compete in, you may want to hold your checkbooks first.
