When the Toyota Corolla Cross was facelifted in 2024, the GR-S variant missed out on the aesthetic updates. Well, it seems they were reserving these updates for the GR-S variant for the 2026 model year. Apart from the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV and the RAV4 Hybrid, the Japanese automaker has also brought into the Philippines the new 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S.
Immediately making a bold impression is its redesigned grille. It has a more upright design this time around, and its bezels are now body-colored versus the previous model’s black housing. The GR-S badge has also been added to the front grille. The bumper and LED headlights remain unchanged, though the front and rear faux skid plates feature a slimmer and simpler design.
Moving inside the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S, while the overall design has remained unchanged, there are a few touches to make its interior feel even more special. These include red seat belts, red stitching on the seats and dashboard, and GR logos on the headrests. However, unlike before, when the GR logos were simple embossed and stamped, they are now fully colored as well.
Other features remain unchanged, such as the 12.3-inch digital gauges, the 10-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the built-in front and rear dashcams, the large panoramic glass roof, and the powered tailgate.
Powering the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S is still the same 1.8-liter Toyota Hybrid System as before, which means its system output is still 120 horsepower, while power is still delivered through the front wheels via a planetary gear e-CVT.
Pricing for the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S starts at P1,947,000 for Platinum White Pearl, while a P5,000 upcharge comes with the Emotional Red paint.
