Honda Cars Philippines has officially started sales of the 2026 Honda Prelude today, April 17. The hybrid sports coupe can be yours for P3,498,000, as previously reported from a leaked dealer listing, and as a recap, here’s what you get in terms of features and capabilities.

Designed with the concept of ‘Unlimited Glide’, the Honda Prelude’s design philosophy combines a low height, light proportions, and increased visibility. Honda says it is a balance of composed comfort, responsive handling, and an engaging drive, making the Prelude a capable and refined touring car.

2026 Honda Prelude Will Inherit Some Of The Type R's Components

19-inch wheels come as standard, along with Brembo brakes at the front with blue calipers. The Prelude also inherits the Civic Type R’s dual-axis strut front suspension, which minimizes torque steer in front-wheel drive (FWD) performance cars, along with its adaptive suspension.

Inside, owners can enjoy a comfortable, functional cabin with a unique asymmetrical seating layout. The driver’s seat is geared towards a sportier feel, while the passenger’s is optimized for relaxation and comfort. The new D-shaped steering wheel, finished with Alcantara material at the 12 o’clock position, provides a comfortable grip for both normal and long-distance driving. There’s also a 10.2-Inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Google Built In, and a Bose sound system.

As Honda’s halo hybrid coupe, the Prelude is powered by the same 2.0-liter e:HEV hybrid system found in the Civic. In this case, however, it produces 200 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque, and this is sent to the front wheels via Honda’s direct-drive lockup clutch-based e-CVT.

The Prelude’s hybrid system introduces several new features. Coasting Control, activated using the paddle shifters, allows the car to coast to a stop without regenerative braking, further contributing to improved fuel economy. Honda’s 2.0-liter hybrid system already has what you call Linear Shift Control, and it’s the reason why the Civic and CR-V e:HEV have pre-programmed simulated gear shifts.

Honda S+ Shift builds upon Linear Shift Control. Through the use of the paddle shifters, you can now cycle through simulated gears, as this aims to replicate the feel of a dual-clutch automatic transmission–down to the shift shocks and even how the engine revs match the simulated DCT.

Alongside the new Prelude is the launch of Honda’s Extended Warranty Program. Starting with the Prelude, this allows owners to worry less about potential repair costs and helps preserve the vehicle’s value over time. Customers who purchase the Prelude can now enjoy a vehicle warranty of five years or 150,000 kilometers, and a battery warranty of eight years or 160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
