The new Nissan X-Trail, Kicks e-Power, Frontier Pro, and N7 (or the Primera) are arriving in the Philippines very soon.

The upcoming Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026 is upon us, and participating automakers are already teasing the vehicles they plan to reveal at the show. One of them includes Nissan, wherein they’re set to unveil not just one, but four new models for the Philippine market.

X-Trail

The first of these is the new Nissan X-Trail, which received a facelift in 2024. For the longest time, Nissan Philippines has been missing a compact crossover SUV to compete with the likes of the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. But now, the company is bringing the X-Trail, which will likely feature an e-Power series hybrid system. This isn’t the first time that the vehicle is debuting in the Philippines, as it already made an appearance at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show

The X-Trail e-Power has already been recognized by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) list of recognized vehicles, and based on that filing, it’ll be a front-wheel drive (FWD) model whose 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine is only meant to charge the 1.75 kWh battery. The electric motor driving the wheels, meanwhile, produces 201 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque.

Those who want a compact hybrid crossover SUV with a similar e-Power system will likely gravitate towards the new Nissan Kicks e-Power. The facelifted model already debuted at the recent Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2026, and here, the Kicks e-Power gets a comprehensively reworked exterior and interior. The body is still carried over from the pre-facelift version, but it features significant improvements to its structure to make it drive nicer, too.

The e-Power series hybrid in the Kicks e-Power uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that charges the battery to power the electric motors. In this case, it produces 134 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.

Frontier Pro

Making its ASEAN debut in the Philippines is the Nissan Frontier Pro. The Frontier Pro is a plug-in hybrid pickup that’s been co-developed with Donfeng, and it’s a vehicle that is assembled in China for the global market. The Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid uses a five-link rear suspension that offers a balance of comfort and capability, along with standard all-wheel drive (AWD). This vehicle also utilizes an electronic locking differential.

Combining a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT)-mounted electric motor, the system output is a strong 402 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The Frontier Pro also has a 135-kilometer pure electric range, which is based on the CLTC cycle.

Nissan N7 (Primera)

Finally, for those who want a pure electric model, the Nissan N7–expected to be called the Primera–is another Dongfeng Nissan joint venture. The Nissan Primera is a midsize electric sedan that features a sleek design with a fastback profile, along with LED headlights that are integrated into a pair of LED screens below it. The interior likewise focuses on sleekness, though, as with many electric vehicles (EVs) catered to the Chinese market, it features a sleek and minimalist interior.

With these four electric vehicles, from hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and even a pure electric offering, Nissan Philippines is doubling down on electrified models, especially as an energy crisis has rattled the automotive market in recent months.
