Xpeng is one of China’s spearheaders of its electric vehicle (EV) shift, and it competes with the likes of Nio and Li Auto in terms of technological prowess. If you’re like us, who are fans of this brand, you may be happy to hear that Xpeng is finally arriving in the Philippines in the third quarter of 2026.
Xpeng Philippines will arrive as a direct subsidiary of the brand, which labels itself as a “global AI and technology company pioneering smart EVs”. Xpeng is already operating in more than 60 countries and regions across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Latin America. The Chinese EV brand operates more than 380 overseas stores, and it also has regional hubs in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Thailand, and Mexico.
The Chinese EV manufacturer was founded in 2014 in Guangzhou and has made significant strides in AI and other areas, including a range of VTOLs from Xpeng AeroHT.
But don’t expect too many of these radical vehicles just yet, because as the teaser has shown, its two vehicles include a compact crossover and a luxury MPV. The first of those is the Xpeng L03, a compact crossover SUV that was recently revealed in Germany. The L03 is part of the brand’s Mona line, which is its more mainstream vehicles. The L03 is destined to be sold in 65 global markets, and that includes the Philippines.
The Xpeng L03 is sold in either a pure electric version with up to 520 kilometers of WLTP-rated range, while a range extender EV (REEV) version offers more than 1,000 kilometers of range. The Xpeng L03 also has curvaceous crossover styling, along with a modern interior that focuses on its software and AI capabilities.
These software-based capabilities are also carried over to the Xpeng X9, a radically styled luxury MPV with wedge-shaped styling. This all-electric luxury MPV has up to 535 kilometers of WLTP-rated range, along with an interior that’s likewise modern and luxurious. More specifications for both models will be revealed in due time.
