GAC Philippines has brought in three new MPVs in the Philippine market. These include the new GAC GN6, the new GAC E8 HEV, and the GN8 PHEV Executive. The three new MPVs represent the Chinese automaker’s multi-pathway approach for mobility.
GAC GN6 Returns
First off, the GAC GN6 isn’t a new nameplate, as this three-row MPV was already offered in the Philippines since 2021. It was renamed as the M6 Pro for its first facelift, and now, in its second facelift, the GN6 name has been chosen once again.
The 2027 GAC GN6 gets an updated front end that’s characterized by a new “waterfall” grille, new LED headlights, and a new set of alloy wheels. The interior has likewise received quite an upgrade as well, as it now features more premium materials and an improved set of features.
The sole GN6 GX comes with a 14.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, and synthetic leather upholstery. Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree high-definition panoramic camera, and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
The GN6 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, producing 176 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.
Say Hello To The E8
Want something that’s a bit more premium and elevated? The 2027 GAC E8 HEV is designed for users seeking a more premium MPV experience, combining an efficient hybrid powertrain with first-class passenger comfort and flexible cabin space.
Its hybrid system pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 140 hp and 180 Nm with an electric motor generating 182 hp and 300 Nm. Managed by a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), the system delivers a combined driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers from its 60-liter fuel tank.
The interior offers up to 18 seating configurations. Second-row occupants benefit from power-adjustable captain’s chairs with a one-touch Zero Gravity mode, power leg rests, ventilation, and massage functions. The third-row seats can fold flat into the floor or be configured in Tea Break Mode, expanding cargo capacity from 345 liters to as much as 1,917 liters.
Other features include acoustic laminated glass, dual sunroofs, power-sliding doors, wireless phone charging, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker audio system, and ADiGO intelligent driving technologies such as Traffic Jam Assist and Integrated Cruise Assist.
The GN8 Nameplate Returns As A PHEV
The GN8 nameplate also makes its return with the new GAC GN8 PHEV. This serves as the brand’s flagship model, which is perfect for VIP travel and flagship family comfort.
At the heart of the GAC GN8 PHEV is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, which delivers a combined system output of 373 hp and 630 Nm of torque. Its 25.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery provides an NEDC-rated electric range of up to 120 kilometers and a total combined range of up to 1,038 kilometers. DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30 to 80 percent in approximately 45 minutes.
Inside, the GN8 PHEV Executive offers a cabin designed to function as a private luxury lounge or mobile boardroom. Its Zero Breeze Air Conditioning system uses more than 1,600 micro-vents to distribute gentle, draft-free airflow, while hidden six-directional seat vibration dampers help absorb road movement for a smoother and quieter ride. Second-row captain’s seats feature four-way power leg rests, position memory, heating, ventilation, fold-out tray tables, and massage functions.
The flagship cabin also includes soundproof glass for the first and second rows, a 16-speaker audio system, a streaming-video rearview mirror, tri-zone automatic climate control, PM2.5 air filtration, a fragrance system, a starlight panoramic roof, and dual power-sliding doors.
The new GAC GN6 is priced at P1,298,000, but a P100,000 introductory discount is being offered. Meanwhile, the E8 HEV retails for P1,858,000 for the GL variant and P1,998,000 for the GX variant. During the introductory period, a P70,000 discount is being offered. Lastly, the flagship GN8 PHEV Executive retails for P3,488,000, and it comes with a special introductory discount of P150,000.
