Alongside the 2027 Nissan X-Trail e-Power, Nissan Philippines is also bringing in the facelifted Kicks e-Power, a couple of months after it made its ASEAN debut at the recent Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2026. Today, the 2027 Nissan Kicks e-Power is only being previewed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) as this subcompact crossover SUV won’t reach dealers until July.
As seen in Thailand, the facelifted 2027 Nissan Kicks e-Power gets a comprehensively reworked exterior and interior. From the outside, the facelift is very comprehensive. This marks the second time that this platform from 2016 has been comprehensively updated, but trust us, the updates are extensive. Gone is the V-Motion grille; in its place is a wider and bolder grille, which is flanked by LED daytime running lights that are separated from the main LED headlights on the VL and LE+. Meanwhile, the base VE’s daytime running lights are the LED low beams, with the separate daytime running lights being in chrome.
The side profile remains unchanged, but new wheels certainly do help in jazzing up its looks. Only the LE+ gets a roof rack. Moving towards the rear, we once again see quite a comprehensive update. The slim LED taillights are visually connected by a black trim piece, mirroring the design up front. The Kicks script is written boldly across its tailgate, necessitating the relocation of the license plate towards the rear bumper.
Moving inside the 2027 Nissan Kicks e-Power, we see a completely new dash design with a horizontal layout and more premium materials. All versions have synthetic leather upholstery, with the LE+ donning the new blue and white interior scheme. As standard, there’s a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, along with two infotainment versions–a 2DIN Kenwood touchscreen on the base VE, or a 12.3-inch infotainment system running a new version of the NissanConnect operating system on the VL and LE+. There’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, regardless of the head unit.
The 2027 Nissan Kicks e-Power continues to utilize a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that charges the battery to power the electric motors. In this case, it produces 134 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, which drives the front wheels. While the powertrain is carried over, the vehicle structure has been comprehensively updated for improved driving dynamics and refinement.
Of course, as with every modern Nissan, the Kicks e-Power comes with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety suite as standard on all variants, which includes features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind spot warning. For the first time in the Kicks, however, the ProPilot semi-autonomous driver assistance tech is also fitted as standard, which bundles lane centering and adaptive cruise control into one feature.
