The Audi Q3 is the brand’s competitor on this fairly new small SUV segment, which it rivals with the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. PGA Cars has launched the facelifted version of the Audi Q3, and with it, announcing a P400,000 price drop.
The facelifted 2015 Audi Q3 sports a redesigned grille, now made chunkier and more hexagonal in shape, in line with the brand’s new design language. Chunkier details and more pronounced wheel arches make the Q3 a tougher and more aggressive small premium SUV.
Inside, the Q3 introduces a set of new features that boosts its safety and luxury credentials such as LED ambient lighting, Audi’s MMI, now with Navigation Plus, power-adjustable front seats, and collision prevention braking assist.
Changes in the Audi Q3 are not just in its features and sheetmetal. The powetrain has also been updated. What was once a 2.0 TDI diesel engine under the hood, the Audi Q3 now boasts a smaller, but equally powerful and efficient 1.4 liter turbocharged, direct injected petrol engine, producing 150 hp. The new engine is also equipped with Audi’s cylinder on demand technology. The 4-cylinder engine can run on 2-cylinder only when the car is driven at a relaxed pace. This boosts its fuel efficiency and reduces its CO2 emissions substantially over the 2.0 liter TDI engine it replaces. Power is sent via Audi’s excellent 7-Speed S Tronic dual clutch transmisson.
The Audi Q3 is now priced at P2,990,000, P400,000 less than the model it replaces. A very appealing price isn’t it, especially if you consider the amount of new technologies and features the refreshed Q3 receives. Interested?
