Honda Cars Philippines just launched in a low-key manner the refreshed 2018 Odyssey, now carrying more style across all variants, more cabin tech, and more refined interiors.
The Honda Odyssey is known to blend luxury with a hint of sportiness compared to other MPVs out there, and in this 2018 model, that character is highlighted even more. The 2018 Honda Odyssey gets a new look across all variants. The base EX now adopts the pre-facelift’s “Aero” design with Platinum Grille, while the EX-V Navi now has a refreshed look that’s completely new for 2018, finished in Dark Chrome, and is further distinguished by its LED fog lights. The base EX variant was always left in the dust by its EX-V Navi sibling due to its more anonymous looks, but now, both variants have distinctive, sporty styling that makes the 2018 Odyssey look more athletic on the road.
Inside, and the interior receives a refresh as well. The EX variant soldiers on with its 2-3-3 8-seater layout, and is still adorned with fabric seats. The EX-V Navi also continues on with its leather interior and 2-2-3 7-seater layout, but now receives black wood panelling and silver trim in replacement to the brown wood in the previous models. Honda’s 7-inch Display Audio infotainment system is standard on all variants, while navigation and 9-inch TFT LCD rear entertainment system is only for the EX-V Navi variant. Passive entry with push-button start is now standard across all variants.
The Odyssey is still powered by a 2.4 liter Earth Dreams i-VTEC engine, producing 173 hp and 226 Nm of torque, sent through a CVT towards the front wheels.
In terms of safety, the 2018 Odyssey is generously equipped across all variants, with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, and Multi-Angle Rear View Camera equipped on all variants. The EX-V Navi, meanwhile, receives more sophisticated safety kit, such as Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Park Assist, and 360 degree surround view cameras.
Here are the updated prices for the Odyssey, and they receive slight increases, but remain worth it for the price.
EX: P2,039,000
EX-V Navi: P2,449,000
