Are you curious to find out how much that Honda Civic RS Turbo you’ve been dreaming about has increased its price? Well, Honda Cars Philippines has released their official prices with the excise tax having been considered.
As you can see, the Honda Civic RS Turbo has increased by more than P100,000, so to those who were trying to beat the excise tax, congratulations.
Meanwhile, if you bought a Honda Odysseylast year, specifically the EX-V Navi, you might wanna look away now, otherwise, you might kill yourself in the process. Nevermind we’re kidding. Don’t do that. Suicide is not an option. Anyway, the Honda Odyssey EX-V Navi came down in price by P16,000, which in reality may just be chump change for people who have a budget like this.
In case you’re curious, we’re not yet sure what happened to the Honda Pilot, the Honda Legend full-size luxury sedan has been sold at P2 million less last year, with all remaining stocks disappearing completely, and the Civic Type R? Well, Honda is still considering if they will add more units this 2018.
For those keeping score, this is how the final version of the excise tax works.
Under P600,000: 4%
P600,000 to P1,000,000: 10%
P1,000,001 to P4,000,000: 20%
Above P4,000,000: 50%
The bicameral version also highlights that it exempts EVs and, strangely, pick-up trucks. Hybrids meanwhile will only receive 50% of the taxes of non-hybrid vehicles. We at Go Flat Out applaud the move for making eco-friendly vehicles receive zero to lower taxes. For the rest of the TRAIN vehicle excise tax, click here.
