Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has also released their 2018 price list with excise tax considered.
As expected, almost the entire range sees a price increase, except for the Pajero, in which its price has been retained.
What we’re surprised with is the fact that Mitsubishi has also increased the prices of their Strada pick-up, when in fact, the TRAIN automobile excise tax exempts pick-ups. MMPC says this is due to unfavorable exchange rates during the later parts of 2017. Interestingly, all of the Stradas in dealer lots now are from 2017, and therefore are still covered by the previous scheme. Once the stocks have been depleted then only time will Mitsubishi will release their “true” post-excise tax pricing for the Strada.
As we’ll also see here, there are quite a number of models disappearing from the price list. This includes the Mitsubishi Lancer EX, which has already been discontinued globally, and the ASX subcompact crossover.
As for the rest of the price list, here it goes.
