Packed with best-in-class and first-in-segment features, the Malibu is going to be one of the most impressive executive sedans on the road.
Starting with the Malibu’s exterior design, this executive sedan is the first vehicle in the Chevrolet line-up to feature the brand’s latest global design, featuring slim, sweeping headlamps and a progressive take on the brand’s characteristic dual-port grille. Three body-side creases also add drama to the design and help distinguish the Malibu as a contemporary Chevy. The Malibu also features premium lighting elements in the form of HID headlamps, lower LED daytime running lights, and LED tail lights. Large 18-inch aluminum wheels give the Malibu a sporty and premium look while a coupe-like roofline offers a sleek profile for the brand’s executive sedan.
The interior features increased interior room due to its slightly bigger exterior dimensions. As such, Chevrolet’s designers were able to utilize a more open and airy interpretation of the brand’s dual-cockpit interior. With its more premium approach, thanks to the use of more high-end materials, occupants will have a greater sense of intimacy and openness when inside the Chevrolet Malibu. Providing the occupants’ entertainment and information needs is the brand’s MyLink infotainment system, which features an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay. Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 9-speaker Bose premium sound system. As an added bonus, the Chevrolet Malibu is the first executive sedan in its segment to offer cooled seats for the front occupants, on top of 10-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat and 8-way electronically adjustable passenger’s seat with heating and power lumbar adjustment. Added luxury features include heated side mirrors and a large panoramic sunroof that floods the interior with light.
Powering the Chevrolet Malibu is a new 2.0 liter inline-4 DOHC VVT turbocharged petrol engine, producing 250 hp and 353 Nm of torque, powering the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of safety and convenience, the Chevrolet Malibu offers best-in-class features that include Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Alert with Pedestrian Detection and Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Semi-Automatic Handsfree Park Assist, which enables the Malibu to automatically control the steering during parallel and perpendicular parking.
