The 2019 Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S Is For You If You Want A WRX, But With A Wagon’s Practicality

If you've ever fancied a WRX wagon, this is the closes thing to it.

Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, has unveiled today the more powerful version of the Subaru Levorg. Dubbed the Levorg 2.0 GT-S, it is the wagon of any car enthusiast’s dreams, with its sleek wagon body, and powerful 2.0-liter FA20 DIT engine.

From the outside, the Levorg 2.0 GT-S still packs the same sleek and aggressive design as the refreshed Levorg that was first seen during the 2018 Manila International Auto Show (2018 MIAS). It has the trademark hexagonal grille that we’ve come to know, as well as a sharper look inspired from the WRX. It also has the same 18-inch alloy wheels and the same sleek rear from when it debuted at the 2018 MIAS.

Inside, it’s largely the same story, with a premium interior and sleek finishes that elevate the cabin experience. Being a wagon, it manages to have the same practicality levels of an SUV like the Forester, but with the handling and low center of gravity of a sports sedan. EyeSight is also equipped in this Levorg, which makes everyday driving even more convenient.

The biggest news in this Levorg, however, is what’s under the hood. The more powerful version of the Levorg packs the same engine as the one found in the Subaru WRX sports sedan, featuring a 2.0-liter tubocharged and direct-injected H4 boxer engine that produces 264 hp and 350 Nm of torque, with power sent through the Symmetrial AWD system with Active Torque Vectoring. A Lineartronic CVT is the only transmission available. This essentially makes the Subaru Levorg the wagon version of the Subaru WRX.

The Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S is priced at P1,998,000. Be the first to see the new Levorg at the Subaru Festival, starting today until September 22-23, 2018 at 9th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street, Global City.
