MINI Philippines has recently held their 2018 MINI Festival, which displayed a host of MINIs, as well as a plethora bespoke crafts, iconic designs, and activities that are appropriate for the entire family. Some of the MINIs played host to serve as displays for our local artisan partners at the MINI marketplace.
Test drives were also available on site, which enabled customers and fans to experience the thrill of driving a MINI.
But the biggest highlight of the event was the preview of the 2018 Mini Monte Carlo Edition. Based on the Cooper S 3-door, the Monte Carlo Edition features a few exterior bits that came from the high performance John Cooper Works variant, such as the rally-style fog lights, checkered flag livery, #37 sticker, which pays homage to the original MINI Cooper S that won the Monte Carlo Rally, as well as a snazzy set of black-painted alloy wheels. Inside, there’s now a Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, Recaro bucket seats, and commemorative door sills indicating the car’s production number.
And as you have read in the title, yes, this Monte Carlo Edition is a PH-market exclusive, with only 20 cars to be sold at a little over P3,000,000. The catch is that, for you to purchase this vehicle, one needs to go through Lazada’s online store, on November 11, 2018, during their online shopping festival. The MINI Monte Carlo Edition will only be available for sale during the said date. This makes the MINI Monte Carlo Edition the first new car to be sold online in the Philippines.
