SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. (SMCACDC), the exclusive importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, has formally launched the first ever BMW 6 Series GranTurismo alongside the all-new, second generation BMW X4.
The BMW 6 Series GranTurismo is the replacement for the BMW 5 Series GranTurismo, and continues the success story of BMW’s development of a vehicle the combines the attributes of their SUV and wagon in a sleek, coupe-like package. The result of this is a vehicle that is longer, lower, and wider than the 5 Series GranTurismo it replaces. The headlights are now united together with the kidney grille, as is with many recent BMWs, while the rest of the body follows a curvy, coupe-like profile.
Inside, the BMW 6 Series GranTurismo provides loads of space, with even the back seat passengers benefitting from electrically adjustable seats. Being a GranTurismo, the interior can be super flexible and practical, just like a traditional wagon, while the high roofline from BMW’s SUVs give the interior an airy feel. This is further emphasized by its panoramic sunroof.
A single variant is on offer, a 630d, which utilizes a 3.0-liter inline-6 TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 261 hp and 620 Nm of torque, sending power through the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 kph is achieved in 6.1 seconds.
All this luxury and practicality is priced at P8,790,000.
