You Can Now Drive The 2020 Toyota GR Supra… Virtually

This is a chance for players to finally try the new 2020 Toyota GR Supra, albeit virtually.

Yes, you can now drive the all-new, highly anticipated Toyota GR Supra, albeit virtually. Over the years since its release, Gran Turismo Sport has received continuous updates, adding new tracks, cars, and events in the process. Its latest update, however, adds the highly anticipated comeback of the Toyota GR Supra in the virtual world.

A BMW-sourced 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 petrol engine powers the GR Supra, producing 335 hp and 494 Nm of torque. Power is sent through the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain combo enables the Supra to sprint from 0-100 kph in 4.1 seconds, making it the fastest car to wear the Toyota badge.

Despite being a collaborative effort with BMW, Toyota Gazoo Racing developed the Supra’s chassis in their own direction, letting the Supra offer a completely unique driving experience from the BMW Z4. A two-mode adaptive variable suspension is standard, continually adjusting the rear multi-link set-up and front double-joint spring struts. Further aiding the Supra’s handling is its perfect 50:50 weight distribution. 19-inch wheels are standard, which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires sized 255/35 R19 at the front and 275/35 R19 at the rear.

Not only that, but the update also comes with four additional and highly desirable cars. These four cars are:

  • Pagani Huayra ’13
  • Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren ’09
  • Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) ’89
  • McLaren F1 GTR – BMW (Kokusai Kaihatsu UK Racing) ’95

Autopolis Gran Turismo Sport

A new race track has also been added. Autopolis, which is a race track located in Japan, features numerous slopes and complex consecutive corners, requiring full concentration when navigating this challenging track. Additionally, this race track has also been added in Scapes.

Additionally, a new event called the Supra Legend has been added in the Amateur League. Updates have also been made in numerous events, and these are the following:

  • 2 new rounds added to Mazda Roadsters Cup (Beginner League)
  • 2 new rounds added to Mazda Roadsters Cup + (Amateur League)
  • 2 new rounds added to the Premium Sports Lounge (Professional League)
  • 2 new rounds added to the All Japan GT Car Championships (Professional League)
  • 1 new round added to the Gr.3 Endurance Serie

Does this make you excited to drive the all-new Toyota GR Supra in the game?
