The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines, introduces a new variant of its popular Colorado pick-up, the Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss, which was launched at the Cebu Auto Show 2019 last September 13, 2019, at the Sky Hall SM Seaside City Cebu. The Cebu Auto Show is considered to be the biggest automotive event in the Visayan region.
While the Colorado High Country Storm is based on the top trim Colorado 4×4 LTZ, this Trail Boss is based on the Colorado 4×2 LT with added aggression courtesy of a new sport bar, black Chevrolet bowtie badging on a black grille, 18-inch black alloy wheels, black Colorado decal on the tailgate, as well as the obligatory Trail Boss badge. The interior, meanwhile, carries on unchanged, still featuring the impressive Chevrolet MyLink touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood of the Colorado Trail Boss is an inline-4 2.8-liter Duramax turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque, sent through the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Colorado Trail Boss has an 800 mm water wading capability, one-ton payload capacity, and 3-ton towing capacity.
In terms of safety features, the Colorado Trail Boss is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and a limited-slip differential (LSD).
The Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss is now on sale on all Chevrolet dealerships with a price of P1,368,888. The new Colorado Trail Boss is backed by the Chevrolet Complete Care Program, which comes with a special 5-year warranty coverage (3-year bumper to bumper warranty plus another 2-year/100,000 kilometer powertrain). Chevrolet owners are automatically enrolled in the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for 3 years, with an option to renew on the fourth year of ownership. They are also given access to 24/7 Customer Care Hotline and are guaranteed an hour of express service for select services and non-stop service in select service centers.
Additionally, Chevrolet Philippines is offering free preventive maintenance service exclusively for the Colorado Trail Boss during the first two years of ownership or 40,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. This promo is only valid until September 30, 2019.
