Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI), in partnership with Autohub Group, a firm known to be one of the Philippines’ top automotive dealership, distributor, and auto sales, relaunched the FOTON Dealership located at General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Cavite to further develop the sales and service experience of its customers in the Southern Tagalog region last October 2, 2019.
Located specifically in Gavino Maderan in GMA Cavite, the newly-improved dealer facility is seated on a 4,500-sqm lot area housing a Heavy Duty Truck Center. It is fully equipped for sales, spare parts, and service operations in line with FMPI’s thrust of providing innovative transport solutions through commercial and passenger vehicles. The introduction of the new dealership in one of the busy thoroughfare of Cavite is a proactive response by FMPI to present its clients the options of having Foton vehicles, especially heavy-duty truck models, displayed, purchased and service in one hub. Previously, Foton’s showrooms can only exhibit passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks.
In his message, FMPI President Rommel Sytin said, “From passenger vehicles, light-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment, Foton GMA Cavite is ready to serve with wit the right vehicle for every business and family. Through these workhorses fortified by the apt body configurations, logistics will be easily accessible, helping business owners save time and money”.
On its dealership partner Autohub Group, President Willy Tee Ten remarked what made his Group choose Foton as the next brand to add to their automotive arsenal, which presently includes Mini, Lotus, Pagani, Rolls-Royce, Ford, Mazda, Nissan, and more, “ The vehicle we sell are mostly passenger cars, and Foton has given us the opportunity to expand our product offering with commercial vehicles, particularly trucks and vans”.
In the recent government campaign to modernize the Public Utility Vehicle (PUV), FMPI understands the importance of the PUV Modernization Program in promoting a better and safe modern transporation system and is proud to be one the anchors of this program through their own F-Jeepney, introducing it as a workhorse and multifunctional partner for the growing number of PUV operators in the country. This F-Jeeepne, displayed also during the launch, is particularly known as the Tornado F-Jeep with a truck body that is capable of accommodating 24 passengers (16 seated and 8 standing). The passenger body has side-facing long benches with an airconditioning system to provide a comfortable ride to the public. Moreover, it is equipped with a WI-FI connection, a CCTV camera and a car-reader system for pre-loaded fare collection. The F-Jeepney is powered by 2.8 liter Blue Energy Euro-4 fuelt standard compliant Cummins Turbodiesel 4 cylinder engine with an output of 116 PS @ 3200rpm and 260 Nm of torque @ 1300 to 3200 rpm.
