2020 Ford Everest Trend 2WD Goes On Sale In PH For P1.738M

The mid-spec Trend makes a comeback in the Everest range.

The refreshed Ford Everest made its debut last year in Titanium 4WD Bi-Turbo and Titanium 2WD guises. Notably absent in the refreshed Everest range is a mid-spec Trend variant, at least until today as Ford Philippines officially announces the availability of the mid-spec Ford Everest Trend 2WD variant.

As the mid-variant of the Everest range, it is expected that this will be the volume seller for the brand. As such, it is well-equipped with features such as rain-sensing wipers, automatic LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, reverse camera, LED taillights, leather seats and even a power liftgate–the only mid-variant PPV in its segment to do so.

“We are expanding our SUV lineup to provide customers with another reliable Ford Everest variant that suits their diverse needs and lifestyles. The new Everest Trend comes with features such as seven airbags, LED headlamps, power liftgate, and leather seats that make it one of the most competitive and feature-packed mid-size SUVs for its pricing,” said PK Umashankar, managing director, Ford Philippines.

Yes, that’s right. The Everest Trend also comes with seven airbags, thanks to the addition of a driver’s knee airbag. In addition, the Everest Trend leads the pack in terms of safety and driver convenience thanks to features such as cruise control, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, roll stability control, and hill start assist.

From the outside, the Everest Trend gets 18-inch alloy wheels, power folding mirrors, side steps, roof rails, the new grille design for the Everest range, as well as front and rear mud guards. Moving on to the other interior amenities, the Everest Trend also gets the twin LCD screens from the Titanium variants as well as the 8-inch SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, thus leading the pack as well in terms of vehicle telematics.

The new Everest Trend is powered by Ford’s tried-and-tested 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi turbo diesel engine, producing 160 hp and 385 Nm of torque, which drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The new Everest Trend is available in all Ford dealerships nationwide starting today, February 25, 2020, with a starting price of P1,738,000. It comes in four (4) colors: Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, and Meteor Gray.
