Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is preparing for the launch of the facelifted 2021 Hilux. There’s no doubt that this product will be a hit considering our market is really into pick-ups. But just to make sure the Japanese automaker gets the message across, they are partnering with a number of celebrities in unveiling the 2021 Toyota Hilux.
We are not yet sure on what will be the specs of the 2021 Toyota Hilux. Over in Thailand, however, where the pick-up made its global debut, the new Hilux features a revised 2.8-liter inline-4 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The smaller 2.4-liter turbo diesel continues to be offered in the lower variants as well. A 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual are your transmission choices.
The 2021 Toyota Hilux will be streaming live on TMP’s official Facebook (www.facebook.com/
Toyota has invited celebrity guest Ramon Bautista, whom is also a car enthusiast. He will be there to give a preview of the facelifted Hilux. Given the privilege to be among the first to drive the new Hilux, Ramon will answer any of the viewer’s questions about his Hilux experience. Questions can be sent in through the live stream’s comment boxes during the program.
Finally, viewers will also be treated to a live performance from one of the country’s top bands, Spongecola. Enjoy the music while participating in interactive games during the band’s set. Winners will receive special prizes and merchandise.
The virtual launch of the 2021 Toyota Hilux will be happening this Saturday, September 12. To get event info and reminders, you may join the official event page at http://bit.ly/2020hiluxlaunch.
