The current-generation Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is already more than a decade old, though we were already certain that Toyota is hard at work for the next-generation model. Well, it seems politicians do not have to wait any longer as the all-new, next-generation Toyota Land Cruiser has been spied out in the open.

These photos and videos come from two sources: Kurdistan Automotive Blog and Land Cruiser Updates. These photos and videos showcase the next generation of Toyota’s iconic SUV, which has grown to be even bigger and more luxurious after every model change.
Though the design is more evolutionary than revolutionary, the entire vehicle has been completely redesigned from the ground up. Upfront, we can see its large grille surrounded by a U-shaped air vent. The headlights are also slimmer now for a sleeker appearance. At the sides, the all-new Land Cruiser looks boxier than its predecessor, mainly due to the angular D-pillar treatment. The rear, meanwhile, looks almost similar to the previous model, though it seems that the chrome strip connecting the two taillights is now gone.
While the exterior looks similar to the previous model, the interior of this new model looks radically different from the model it’s going to replace. Though we don’t have a photo of the entire interior, these photos do show that it has a rising center console that features a much more modern design. There’s also a new freestanding infotainment system similar to the Toyota Harrier’s. It also seems that Toyota has spent great effort in upping the interior quality by adding more soft-touch plastics and lashings of satin silver trims.
These are all the details that we know for now since Toyota has remained silent about the next-generation Land Cruiser. We do expect that this all-new model will still ride on a body-on-frame chassis and will still feature the model’s signature Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) that disconnects the rear sway bar for better wheel articulation.
With these photos now out in the open, it seems that the launch of the next-generation Toyota Land Cruiser is definitely going to happen sooner rather than later.
