This Is Your First Look At The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been teased, and this is your first look at how the American automaker's upcoming sports car looks like.

Chevrolet has started teasing the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the even more potent variant of the current C8 Corvette. Its launch is scheduled to happen on October 26.

The new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 sets itself apart from the standard Corvette with its sportier front bumper, multi-spoke wheels, and redesigned side air intakes. The rear fascia will most likely receive a number of aesthetic and functional upgrades, though the American automaker only released a front three-quarter view of the upcoming performance Corvette. And then in order to accommodate the wider track, the fenders have also been widened.

No interior shots have been released yet, though we suspect that it will definitely have a number of aesthetic and functional improvements, such as lightweight sport seats, more carbon fiber trims, just to name a few.

The American automaker did release a teaser video of the new Corvette Z06, and it shows clips of the sports car being put through its paces at the Nurburgring and Circuit De La Sarthe where the 24h of Le Mans is annually held. From a YouTube video, the Corvette Z06 achieved an unofficial 7:12 lap time around the Nurburgring, but this is on an open track with other users. This should mean that a lap time of under 7 minutes is definitely achievable when the track is closed.

Rumors also suggest that its 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine has a flat-plane crank and should produce 617 hp and 651 Nm of torque.

With Chevrolet Philippines announcing that the C8 Corvette is arriving this year, should they also offer the high-performance Z06 as well?
