Mazda PH Updates Non-Mild-Hybrid 2022 Mazda 3 For P1.495M

The 2022 Mazda 3 now comes with a 2.0-liter engine as standard. Gone is the 1.5 Elite, in its place is the new 2.0 Sport.

Making the headlines from today’s launch by Mazda Philippines are the new mild-hybrid versions of the 2022 Mazda 3 and CX-30, but the Japanese automaker also updated the non-mild-hybrid Mazda 3 for this year.

For the 2022 model year, the Mazda 3 1.5 Elite variants have been discontinued. This means that all Mazda 3 variants now have a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. Serving now as the entry-level model is the Mazda 3 2.0 Sport, and it is available in both sedan and hatchback form for P1,495,000.

Equipment-wise, the new Sport variant picks up where the Elite left off with features such as the LED headlights with halogen daytime running lights, LED taillights, 7-inch digital gauge cluster, 8.8-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system, head-up display, and then enhances this with 18-inch alloy wheels (silver for the sedan and gray for the hatch), sunroof, leather interior, power-adjustable driver’s seat, 12-speaker Bose sound system, just to name a few. A new color called Platinum Quartz is also being offered for the 2022 Mazda 3 Sport.

Since the Sport variant is now the entry-level variant, this does not have the full suite of i-Activsense suite of advanced driver-assist systems. Safety features in this variant come in the form of a reverse camera, seven airbags, electronic stability control, and front and rear parking sensors.

Because this is now equipped with a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine, the new entry-level Mazda 3 produces 154 hp and 200 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic.

All 16 Mazda showrooms nationwide offer the 2022 Mazda 3 beginning December 2021. All brand-new models in the lineup are covered by Mazda Philippines’ standard 5 Years Free Service Plan. This ensures a worry-free driving experience, free from parts pricing fluctuations, and additional billings for preventive maintenance expenses such as oil, parts and labor, over the course of a normal 5-year ownership. Along with the 3-Year Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, every purchase of a brand-new Mazda is a premium experience that is now made even more rewarding.
