Launched late last year, the Kia Stonic and its sub-P1 million price tag have catapulted it to become one of Kia’s best-selling models in the Philippines. With the South Korean automaker rebranding itself globally, including the Philippines, it was pretty much inevitable for their highly-popular small SUV to adapt to Kia’s latest branding direction. Say hello to the Kia Stonic Style Edition, which dons the brand’s new logo and a couple of exterior upgrades.
Sitting in between the base LX and top-trim EX, the Kia Stonic Style Edition blends the two models’ exterior features, and then adds a bit of flair to make it more stylish. The Style Edition wears a subtle bodykit, wherein the front and rear bumpers get red accents and a faux silver skid plate. There’s also a set of black 16-inch wheels and of course the new Kia logo. Topping it all off is a “Stonic Style” badge placed at the tailgate.
The Kia Stonic Style Edition carries the same interior design as the LX, which means you get a steering wheel with audio controls, an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-speaker audio system, remote keyless entry but no push-button start, reverse camera, two SRS airbags, just to name a few.
Powering the Stonic Style Edition is the same 1.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that’s found in other Stonic variants, which means it produces 100 hp and 132 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 6-speed automatic driving the front wheels.
Just like the all-new 2022 Kia Sorento, the Kia Stonic Style Edition is destined to arrive in dealers by the fourth week of November with a price tag of P895,000. It will be available in two colors: Prime Red and Clear White.
