The Volkswagen T-Cross SE has just been updated for the 2022 model year, and it comes with two new major features that aim to put the subcompact SUV at the forefront of the segment. The 2022 Volkswagen T-Cross SE, the latest variant to be brought into the local market, is mainly highlighted by the introduction of the new Active Info Display (AID) fully-digital gauge cluster.
With the AID, information is provided in a clear and legible manner through an 11.7-inch TFT LCD screen. It shows various performance graphics and multimedia information at a glance, without needing to take attention off the road, adding to an overall better driving experience.
Though the digital gauges take center stage in this update, Volkswagen Philippines also added wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, which means cables are now optional if you want to hook up your iPhone to the car’s infotainment display.
The rest of the package, however, remains unchanged, which means you still get features such as a panoramic sunroof, smart entry with push button start, combination synthetic leather and suede seats, LED headlights, just to name a few. The 2022 Volkswagen T-Cross SE is still powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine that produces 113 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic.
These new features, however, don’t come for free. If you want this newly-updated T-Cross SE, its price tag is now P1,250,000. A model without these updates will still be sold for P1,198,000.
