Suzuki Philippines has begun teasing the imminent arrival of the new Ertiga Hybrid. The electrified small MPV was previewed at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), and since then, the Japanese automaker has remained quiet about its latest offering.
If you’re interested in purchasing the Ertiga Hybrid, you’ll be happy to know that we managed to snag information regarding its prices from a source—specifically a sales agent. The prices are probably subject to change, but since these have probably appeared at your nearest Suzuki dealer, then you might want to take a visit and ask for more information about it.
There will be four variants of the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid, and this electrified powertrain will be offered on all models. The base GA MT starts at P954,000, while the mid-spec GL MT starts at P1,068,000. If you want the GL in automatic, this is good for P1,103,000. Lastly, the top trim GLX, which is presumably the variant that was displayed at PIMS, retails for P1,153,000.
As a recap, the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid blends a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 12-volt integrated starter generator (ISG) and a lithium-ion battery. Despite what the name suggests, the powertrain actually operates merely as a mild hybrid. In fact, it can’t run on pure electricity like the hybrid models of Toyota and Lexus. Despite the electrification assistance, its total output is still the same as the outgoing non-hybrid model. The Ertiga Hybrid still produces 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque, and this is mated to either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.
The 2023 Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid will be officially revealed on January 16 as suggested by a social media teaser post that the Japanese automaker posted on their Facebook page.
