Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) celebrates the Strada’s 100,000-unit sales milestone. As a way to mark the occasion, MMPC releases a limited edition variant called the Mitsubishi Strada GLS S-Limited.
Weirdly enough, despite celebrating a 100,000-unit milestone, MMPC decided that 75 units instead of 100 are enough to seal this model’s rarity. Based on the mid-spec Strada GLS, this special edition model sets itself apart with its red trims on the front bumper, rear bumper, and side steps. There’s also a tailgate spoiler, gloss black grille and bumper, as well as gloss black 18-inch wheels. Nothing says limited edition than with a set of body graphics that MMPC says will ‘awaken the racer in you with its unique “01 Design” with special two-tone silver and red decal racing stripe accents’. Oh, you also better like White Diamond because that’s the only color you could get.
Inside, the Strada GLS S-Limited gets an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather hand brake lever, leather gear shifter, leather door trims, and leather seats. Of course, who wouldn’t forget the obligatory red stitching that highlights the pickup’s sportiness?
Under the hood of this model is the same 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder MIVEC diesel engine that we’ve already become familiar with. As ever, it still produces 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque, with all that power routed to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic.
For safety, the 2023 Mitsubishi Strada GLS S-Limited gets electronic stability control, hill start assist, Trailer Stability Assist, and the usual ABS with EBD.
The new Strada GLS S-Limited will be sold for P1,496,000, and as mentioned, if you want to own one of these pickups, only 75 units will be sold.
