Toyota Motor PH Launching 2024 Wigo On July 14, Priced From P609K

The new 2024 Toyota Wigo is set to debut this July, with prices starting at P609,000 and all the way to P729,000.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) confirmed today that it will launch the next-generation 2024 Wigo this July, with retail sales starting on the 17th of the month. The country’s largest automaker says that the new Wigo is in line with its goal to pursue steps to achieve its goal of “producing happiness and creating mobility for all” through its best-selling entry hatchback in its new and improved form.

The 2024 Toyota Wigo (called the Agya in Indonesia as shown) doesn’t entirely rewrite the design rulebook. It carries over a similar silhouette but with styling refinements that make the Wigo look more modern and sleeker. There’s a new, taller grille with LED lighting elements (at least in the Indonesian models), a sharper front bumper, and a sleeker, less upright C-pillar that gives the Wigo a sleeker roofline.

Underneath the skin, the new Wigo now rides on the DNGA platform that the Raize, Avanza, Veloz, and ASEAN Yaris Cross use. It measures 3,760 mm long, 1,665 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,525 mm.

TMP has also confirmed a few features that the new Wigo will get as posted on its website. There will be three variants: J, E, and G. Features such as an 8-inch infotainment (most likely with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) is equipped in the E and G, while the G benefits from push-button start. All variants also come with hill start assist and electronic stability control, both of which are necessities that are still rare in the Wigo’s class.

Also confirmed is what lies underneath the Wigo’s hood. It’s going to be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 67 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque. This is mated to a five-speed manual in the J and a CVT for the E and G. In case you’re wondering, there won’t be a 1.2-liter version of the Wigo for the Philippines.

“Since it was launched in the Philippines, the Wigo has received a lot of love from Filipinos, so we are very happy to introduce the all-new Toyota Wigo, which features a new look and improved performance,” shared TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Danny Cruz.

TMP will unveil the new 2024 Toyota Wigo to the public on July 14 at the Trinoma Activity Center. The mall display will continue until July 16 where TMP will feature all variants of the new Wigo in their different color offerings. Pricing has also been revealed by Toyota for the new Wigo, and it will be available in three variants.

  • J MT: P609,000
  • E CVT: P684,000
  • G CVT: P729,000
