Revealed earlier in August at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has finally brought in the ruggedly-styled 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X. The Stargazer X builds upon the fundamentals of the popular MPV but with an added dose of ruggedness that broadens its appeal among the crossover-loving crowd.
The 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X looks practically what you would imagine it to be. Just like the Veloz and the Xpander Cross, the Stargazer X is the crossover SUV version of the standard Stargazer. As such, the design is largely similar, but with the obligatory body cladding and slightly raised ride height to give it a crossover look. There’s also a new mesh grille, a slightly redesigned front and rear bumper, and new, bigger 17-inch wheels. Everything else is carried over from the standard Stargazer, such as the LED headlights, and H-shaped full-width LED taillights, though this time, there’s now an additional pair of roof rails.
As for the interior, the Stargazer X is also largely similar to the standard model, though alterations have been made to the interior to make it more premium and stylish. These updates are also implemented in the new 2024 Stargazer, including a gloss black housing for the digital gauges and 8-inch infotainment.
Unique to the Stargazer X, however, is a Bose sound system, red stitching details in the synthetic leather upholstery, as well as an electronic parking brake.
Under the hood of the 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X is the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and CVT combination that’s found in the standard model, which means it produces 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. There’s also a suite of Hyundai SmartSense driver-assistance systems, which include Forward Collision-avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision-avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Automatic High Beam, just to name a few.
The 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X is now on sale at all dealers for P1,348,000.
