Lexus Philippines confirms the arrival of its newest member to the luxury family. Continuing its growth as the leading luxury car brand in the Philippines, the 2024 Lexus LBX will be your newest entry point into the world of Lexus ownership. It’s a subcompact hybrid luxury crossover SUV that will redefine what urban premium mobility ought to be.
As mentioned in the beginning, the LBX is going to come as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) right from the start. Specifically, this will be a 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid drivetrain that produces 134 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque. This comes in either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) through the use of rear-mounted electric motors. Opting for the AWD model also gives you an independent double-wishbone setup, replacing the standard torsion beam rear suspension.
As for its design, the LBX is offered globally in five themes as opposed to variants: ‘Cool’, ‘Relax’, ‘Elegant’, ‘Active’, and ‘Urban’. These themes set themselves apart with their unique color and wheel palette combinations, as well as interior upholstery and trim choices that match the customer’s selected theme. We still aren’t aware of what specifications or variants Lexus Philippines will offer, but we are confident that all LBX models will be generously equipped.
Regardless of which theme you choose, the LBX comes with an evolution of the Spindle Grille called the Spindle Body. In the LBX, this is just the lower air intake, with the actual main grille being the slim horizontal black trim piece connecting the two slim LED headlights. This is complemented by a full-width LED taillight design with the “LEXUS” script written on the tailgate as opposed to having the famous L logo.
Developed mainly for the European market, the interior of the 2024 Lexus LBX is very simplistic but aesthetically pleasing. There’s a generous use of soft-touch plastics, suede, and even semi-aniline leather or vegan-friendly upholstery, depending on the theme of choice. The LBX also comes with a portrait version of the Lexus Interface infotainment system and a large 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
All of the key details about the 2024 Lexus LBX will be revealed on March 18, so stay tuned to Go Flat Out PH to find out more about this upcoming luxury crossover SUV.
