2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Now In PH, Pricing To Be Revealed At 2024 PIMS

Honda Cars Philippines has unveiled tonight the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. The new Civic Hybrid is also the mid is now in the Philippines, months after the facelifted Civic was unveiled in the United States.

The main highlight in the new, facelifted Civic is the availability of a hybrid drivetrain for the first time. The e:HEV drivetrain is shared with the CR-V. Thus, it uses a 2.0-liter i-VTEC naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine along with two electric motors, the other motor for generator use. Right off the bat, the Civic Hybrid already has a bigger engine than the Corolla Altis Hybrid, and as you’ve probably expected, the Civic Hybrid is indeed powerful as it puts out 181 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.

This gives the Civic Hybrid a 60-horsepower advantage over the Corolla Altis Hybrid, and it even outmuscles the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo variant, which produces 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The Civic Hybrid uses an e-CVT, while the Civic Turbo retains its traditional CVT.

Apart from the hybrid system, the 2025 Honda Civic also dons a new, sportier look. The front bumper has been redesigned, now featuring a hexagonal and enlarged lower air intake, as well as a new, slightly enlarged mesh grille. The alloy wheels for all variants remain largely the same, except for the RS, which gets a new, smoked-finish seven-spoke 18-inch design. The rear bumper and LED taillights, however, remain unchanged for this facelift.

Now, as for the interior, the overall design is also largely similar, but in the RS, this now gets an increased amount of red highlights, particularly, surrounding the full-width aircon vents and the door panel switches. A 10.25-inch fully digital gauge cluster is offered in the RS, along with a 9-inch infotainment system with Google Built-In for the first time. Google Built-In means that while the operating system isn’t made by Google, the infotaiment system natively supports Google services, such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, and even the Google Play Store. As for other interior features of the Civic RS, you also get a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Bose sound system, leather upholstery, and ambient LED lighting.
