As promised by Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, the new VF3 will indeed be priced under P800,000. Specifically, at today’s launch, the 2025 VinFast VF3 will start at just P605,000, which is thanks to a battery subscription model that the company pioneered in the Philippines with the VF5.

That P605,000 price tag, however, is only until September 30, after which, the price tag rises to P645,000. With the battery included as a one-time payment, the VinFast VF3 is still extremely cheap at just P705,000 just a few thousand more than the Jetour Ice Cream, which is a smaller, more compact, and less powerful entry-level EV.

But what exactly do you get with the 2025 VinFast VF3 for that money? Well, from its exterior, the VF3 is already off to a good start. Compared to anything else at its price point, the Toyota Wigo included, the VF3 is a crossover SUV, which means it sits taller, albeit its dimensions are much smaller than its looks suggest. It’s only marginally bigger than the Jetour Ice Cream, with the VF3 measuring 3,190 mm long, 1,679 mm wide, and 1,622 mm tall. The VF3 also has a 2,075 mm wheelbase, which supposedly is good enough for four adults to fit inside its stylish but compact body.

Once inside, you’ll be greeted by a simple interior that is reasonably stylish and modern. Given its price point, the VF3 manages to still have a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, though most of the vehicle’s functions have been crammed there. There’s no dedicated driver’s display, as the speedometer is also within the infotainment system. Also, VinFast has managed to make the interior spacious enough to accommodate a 285-liter cargo area when the rear seats are folded.
Powering the 2025 VinFast VF3 is a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 43 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. Zero to 50 kph (nope, not 100 kph) happens in 5.3 seconds, while its 18.64 kWh lithium-ion battery allows it to travel for up to 210 kilometers. VinFast also says that the VF3 supports up to DC fast charging at a yet unknown maximum output, though it only takes 36 minutes to charge from 10 to 70 percent when using DC fast charging. A portable AC charger is also included in every purchase of a VF3.
Speaking of batteries, here’s how the VinFast VF3’s subscription model works:
- Less than 1,500 km per month: P2,800/month
- 1,500 to 2,500 km per month: P3,800/month
- More than 2,500 km per month: P6,300/month
If you’re interested in the 2025 VinFast VF3, you’ll be glad to know that units are already available on hand, and each VF3 comes with a seven-year/160,000-kilometer warranty, while the battery has an eight-year warranty with no mileage cap. Maintenance is also free, while battery replacement is also free if the capacity drops below 70 percent when opting for the subscription model.
