BYD Cars Philippines, in partnership with ACMobility, introduces the new 2025 BYD Seal Advanced. The new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of BYD’s sports sedan brings technology, luxury, style, and safety to a more attainable price point. Designed to deliver a dynamic driving experience, the 2025 BYD Seal Advanced is tailored to meet the needs of customers seeking a refined yet dynamic electric driving experience.
The BYD Seal Advanced distinguishes itself from the range-topping Performance variant with its 18-inch alloy wheels that focus on efficiency. It also ditches the front electric motor for a RWD configuration, wherein the single electric motor produces 203 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. This is good for a 0-100 kph time of 7.5 seconds, about four seconds slower than the Seal Performance, but still very good relative to other gas-powered sedans. With a 110 kW DC fast-charging rate, it can recharge from 30 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. On the other hand, its 7kW AC charging system ensures a full charge from zero to 100 percent in approximately 12 hours.
Like the BYD Seal Performance introduced in October, the new BYD Seal Advanced features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a state-of-the-art 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen, ensuring seamless connectivity with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also inherits that variant’s full-leather interior with suede inserts, wireless charging, keyless entry with Near-Field Communication (NFC), dual-zone climate control, and power-adjustable front seats. What it misses out on is the Dynaudio sound system and the cooled front seats.
In addition to its stylish design, the Seal Advanced retains its Di-Pilot suite of advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). The comprehensive active safety suite includes Stop-and-Go Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Predictive Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Assist, Front and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Detection, a 360-degree View Camera with See-Through Mode, and six radar sensors.
Priced at P1,998,000, the 2025 BYD Seal Advanced is putting the Civic Hybrid on notice, which has a base price of P1,990,000. The Seal Advanced comes with an 8-year or 160,000-km for the Blade battery, an 8-year or 150,000-km drive unit warranty, and a 6-year or 150,000-km vehicle warranty.
