Ford Philippines is taking functionality and capability to the next level with the launch of the new Ford Ranger Sport Special Edition. Based on the popular Ranger Sport, this new variant offers additional enhancements that help make daily driving and the occasional off-roading even better experiences for pickup truck enthusiasts.
The Ranger Sport Special Edition comes equipped with a long leg sports bar that extends from the cab toward the rear. This feature not only gives the pickup a more rugged and assertive profile but also adds protective support when hauling heavy or uneven cargo. In addition, retractable cup holders are now integrated into the instrument panel, which is a practical and convenient feature that many Ford customers are calling for.
Aside from the functional accessories, the Ranger Sport Special Edition features the tried-and-tested solid engineering found in every Ford Ranger. A 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering 170 hp and 405 Nm of torque. Power is sent through either the rear wheels or through a 4×4 system.
Being based on the Sport, its interior comes with the familiar 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen panel with smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, along with combination synthetic and genuine leather upholstery. There’s also smart entry with push-button start, and even the FordPass app remote telematics feature.
The Ranger Sport Special Edition is available at a starting retail price of P1,529,000 and P1,649,000 for the 4×4. Interested customers can also see the Ranger Sport Special Edition on display at the Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival on May 8-11, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
