The current generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has already been in the global market for about two years now, but finally today, the German luxury automaker’s popular midsize sedan has finally arrived in the Philippines. Say hello to the 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which is exclusively being offered as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) for the first time.

The E-Class has always set itself apart with its quad-headlights, but that design trait ended when the facelifted 9th-generation model was introduced. For this latest iteration, a hint of the quad-headlight motif is showcased with the curvature of the headlights, but along with it is a grille that’s framed in gloss black, echoing the design motif of the EQ range of electric vehicles (EVs).

The star motif of Mercedes-Benz is used as an intricate pattern for the grille, while on the sides, a sharp character line runs from the LED headlights and then reappears again as it goes through the LED taillights. Speaking of the LED taillights, the graphics are composed of two Mercedes stars on each end, giving this midsize luxury sedan a very distinct glow at night. Other design flourishes include flushed door handles that pop out when the vehicle is unlocked, along with adaptive matrix LED lights with their Digital Light technology.

Here in the Philippines, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class PHEV is the Exclusive line, whose design motif is clearly focused on luxury and tech. Sumptuous materials ranging from aluminum and leather adorn the tech-rich cabin, while the configurable LED ambient lighting adds a sophisticated touch to the interior.

The E-Class is also fitted with Mercedes-Benz’s Superscreen, which is a notch below the full-width Hyperscreen dash display found in the EQE and EQS. Basically, with Superscreen, the E-Class comes with two screens–a main 14.4-inch display and a 12.3-inch passenger’s side screen. The passenger’s screen is even fitted with a visual shield that prevents the driver from seeing what the front passenger is watching on that screen.

Finally, another highlight is its Burmester surround sound system with 17 speakers, 4 exciters and 730 watts of system power. Speaker-like exciters provide a “sound massage”, while the sound system also accepts music formats in Dolby Atmos® quality for true surround sound.

Powering the 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in E 350e guise is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder along with an electric motor integrated into its nine-speed automatic. Its total system output is 313 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, while its 19.53 kWh lithium-ion battery allows for a pure electric driving range of up to 100 kilometers.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is now in the Philippines at all of the German automaker’s dealerships nationwide with a price tag of P5,490,000.
