Porsche Philippines through PGA Cars has chosen the World of Supercars event last weekend to showcase seven of its top-tier models. One of those seven models is the new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid. Yes, the 911 has officially entered the electrified era, marking the biggest technical leap since the water-cooled 911.

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid combines a newly developed 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with a new electric turbocharger and a single electric motor mounted right at the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. The resulting power output from the system is 532 horsepower and 609 Nm of torque, but how it delivers this power is remarkable in its own right.
By going the electric turbocharger route, the build-up in boost in the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six it’s replacing took around three seconds. Here in the 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid? That full boost happens in less than a second, practically nearly eliminating turbo lag and making the engine respond as if it were a naturally aspirated engine. Finally, that electric motor can’t power the 911 on its own–which is by design since Porsche’s T-Hybrid system is a performance hybrid with significantly less CO2 emissions and not necessarily for efficiency purposes (though that’s an upside, too).
As a hybrid the battery of the T-Hybrid system gets charged through braking, but did you know that the excess exhaust gas can also develop as much as 11 kW? All-in-all, by making their hybrid system clever yet simple as they could, the T-Hybrid system only adds 50 kg to the car’s weight. Combined with the boost in power, the new 911 Carrera GTS now does the 0-100 kph sprint in just 2.9 seconds (from 3.2 seconds) while top speed is st 312 kph.

Since this is the GTS model, it serves as the middle ground between the hardcore GT3 models and the base Carrera models. Sports exhaust with two close-set tailpipes, along with rear-axle steering, are fitted as standard to this model. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive dampers are also standard, but the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) anti-roll stabilization with electro-hydraulic control is an optional extra.

As part of its mid-cycle facelift, the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS also receives a host of aesthetic changes. There’s a more aggressive front bumper with vertical active aero flaps that open or close depending on the cooling requirements of the hybrid drivetrain, along with a new rear bumper and rear diffuser design. To stand out even more, customers can opt for an Aerokit that adds a Porsche SportDesign front spoiler, side skirts, and a fixed rear wing. Speaking of which, the rear end gets a new design for the LED full-width taillights, wherein the “PORSCHE” script is now illuminated as well.

As for the interior of the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, the overall design remains similar to the outgoing model, though it introduces few, tech-focused upgrades. Gone is the signature analog tachometer of the 911, and in its place is a fully digital 12.6-inch screen that works in tandem with the 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management infotainment system. Of course it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a Bose sound system or a Burmester sound system. The twistable simulated key that’s mounted on the left side of the dash has also been ditched in favor of a starter button.
