After 12 Years, Ayala’s ACMobility Ends Volkswagen Distributorship

Volkswagen Philippines ends its sales operations, with its last Bonifacio Global Dealership to end vehicle sales by September 30.

Picture this: it was September 2013 when Ayala reintroduced Volkswagen into the Philippines, marking the German automaker’s massive comeback. Sales steadily grew, especially with the advent of models like the Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, Golf, and Polo, just to name a few.

However, at some point down the line, Volkswagen decided to bring in the SAIC-Volkswagen models from the Chinese market into the Philippines in a bid to introduce more affordable, albeit unfamiliar nameplates. These replaced the global models that we mentioned in the beginning and reduced their prices, but Filipinos were willing to pay a premium for a Volkswagen with a heritage versus the more affordable options from China.

Fast forward to 2025, exactly 12 years after its relaunch under Ayala’s ACMobility, and the company has parted ways with Volkswagen AG. The Bonifacio Global City dealership will end sales operations on September 30, but ACMobility assures that Volkswagen owners can still have their models serviced at their Alabang, Pampanga, and Cebu service centers.

Here’s the official statement from Volkswagen Philippines:
